The other night I ended up at a dueling piano bar. Some poor guy gave one of the piano players $20 to play some Springsteen. The piano man announced this and decided to play “Thunder Road.” He then proceeded to butcher the classic tune. I was dumbfounded. He played it at a breakneck pace and made up lyrics as he went along. Sacrilege. If Bruce were there he probably would’ve sat the guy down for a little talk. He is the Boss after all.
